Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Membangun Karakter Siswa: Analisis Literatur Teoritis

Education, inessence, doesnot only functionasameansoftransmitting knowledge, but also as a medium for shaping the character of students as a whole. In this context, Islamic Education plays a strategic role in internalizing moral and spiritual values as the foundation of students' personalities. However, there is still a conceptual gap regarding the effectiveness and implementation strategies of Islamic Education inshaping measurable and tangible character. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review by analyzing credible academic literature that discusses the relationship between Islamic Religious Education and character education. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Religious Education plays a significant role in shaping students' character through a transformative, contextual, and sustainable value- based approach. Values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, empathy, and spirituality can be internalized through reflective learning methods, teacher role modeling, and an Islamic values-based school culture. In addition, strengthening Islamic Educational so contributes to the formation of a learning environment conducive to the moral and social developmentof students. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of an adaptive character education model based onIslamic values that can address the challenges of the modern era.
