UPAYA PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR AKIDAH AKHLAK MELALUI METODE SNOWBALL THROWING DI MTS ITTIHADU AL-USRATI WA AL-JAMA’AH DDI LERANG-LERANG

Abstrak

This study aims to describe efforts to improve students’ learning motivation in the Akidah Akhlak subject through the implementation of the Snowball Throwing method at MTs Ittihadu Al-Usrati Wa Al-Jama’ah DDI Lerang-Lerang. The research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Snowball Throwing method successfully enhanced students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased activeness, participation, attention to the material, and improved learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, students’ motivation had not reached the expected level, but after improvements in the second cycle, a significant increase was observed based on the established indicators. Therefore, the Snowball Throwing method is effective as an instructional strategy in Akidah Akhlak learning to improve students’ motivation.
