Peran Pegawai Syara’ Terhadap Peningkatan Motivasi Masyarakat (Nelayan) Dalam Meningkatkan Sholat Berjamaah Di Mesjid Jami Jampue

Abstrak

This research aims to describe the role of pegawai syara’ (religious civil servants) in increasing the motivation of fishermen communities to perform congregational prayers at Jami’ Mosque, Jampue, Lanrisang District, Pinrang Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that pegawai syara’ play a key role as mediators, facilitators, and religious advisors in guiding the community. They provide religious education through sermons and counseling, in collaboration with mosque leaders and local community figures. Their efforts include addressing issues such as limited understanding of prayer, muamalah, and zakat, by referring to the Qur’an and Hadith. Various methods are used to engage and motivate the fishermen to attend congregational prayers regularly. Overall, the religious guidance provided has had a positive impact on the spiritual life of the community.
