Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the WAFA method in stimulating right-brain activity in Qur’an learning at SDIT Al-Insan Pinrang. Using a qualitative approach through interviews and observations with coordinators, teachers, parents, and first-grade students, the research found that the WAFA method—combining visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques such as songs, hand movements, and colorful visuals—effectively enhances students’ memorization, creativity, and emotional engagement. The approach not only improves children’s ability to memorize and understand Qur’anic verses contextually but also nurtures their love for the Qur’an. Overall, the WAFA method proves to be an effective strategy for optimizing right-brain functions and fostering a joyful and meaningful Qur’an learning experience for early learners.
