PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT/HASIL BELAJAR AKIDAH AKHLAK PADA SISWA KELAS VII MTS DDI PACONGANG

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in increasing students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in the subject of Akidah Akhlak among seventh-grade students at MTs DDI Pacongang. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles, this research involved 32 students as participants. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The findings show a significant improvement in student engagement and comprehension after the implementation of Discovery Learning. In Cycle I, only 43.75% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria, while in Cycle II all students (100%) reached the expected mastery level. The model encouraged active participation, collaborative problem-solving, and independent exploration during learning activities. These results indicate that Discovery Learning effectively enhances students’ interest and outcomes in Akidah Akhlak and can be recommended as an alternative instructional approach for Islamic education classrooms.
