EFEKTIVITAS METODE DEMONSTRASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI IBADAH SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

This study examines the effectiveness of the demonstration method in Islamic Religious Education learning to improve students’ worship competence at the elementary school level. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis conducted at SDN 112 Sempang Timur. The findings reveal that the demonstration method significantly assists students in understanding and practicing worship materials such as ablution, prayer movements, and daily religious habits. Students showed increased enthusiasm, active participation, and better retention of learning outcomes. Teachers also reported that the method helped minimize misunderstandings in practical worship procedures. Furthermore, it strengthened students’ religious character and encouraged daily application of Islamic values. The study concludes that the demonstration method is an effective instructional strategy for enhancing conceptual understanding and psychomotor skills in Islamic Religious Education. Future research is expected to explore its integration with digital media and differentiated learning strategies.
