This study addresses three main problems in learning Hijaiyah letters at TK/TPA Hidayatullah Sekkang Ruba, Pinrang. First, many children cannot recognize or distinguish Hijaiyah letters, such as tsa and ba. Second, children struggle to pronounce and name the letters correctly. Third, the teacher mainly uses oral methods without teaching aids, making the learning process less interesting and causing children to lose focus easily.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Iqra method can help improve children's ability to read the Qur’an. This research used a qualitative classroom action approach with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study was done in two cycles, each consisting of three sessions. The participants were one teacher and 22 students (10 boys and 12 girls) from group B1. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results from both cycles showed that using the Iqra method effectively improved the children’s ability to read the Qur’an.
