The research conducted at SMPN 3 Duampanua Pinrang showed that learning in Islamic Education and Character Building was previously dominated by conventional lecture methods, which made students less active and hindered their understanding of the material. Through the implementation of the role-playing method in two cycles, there was a significant improvement in students’ comprehension and learning outcomes, as they became more directly involved in the learning process. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to continuously innovate by applying interactive methods such as role-playing and exploring other approaches to make the learning process more engaging, effective, and capable of fostering students’ interest in Islamic Education and Character Building.
