PENGARUH PEMBINAAN KARAKTER MELALUI PROGRAM TA’LIM TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN PERILAKU BULLYING DAN PENINGKATAN KESADARAN SOSIAL PESERTA DIDIK DI MTSS TASSBEH BAITUL QUR’AN

This study aims to determine the effect of the ta’lim program on preventing bullying behavior and increasing students’ social awareness at MTs Tassbeh Baitul Qur'an. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with a sample of 43 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires consisting of 39 items covering three variables: ta’lim program, bullying behavior, and social awareness.
The results showed that the ta’lim program had a significant negative effect on bullying behavior, as indicated by a significance value of 0,009 (p < 0,05) and a negative regression coefficient. This suggests that the more effective the ta’lim program, the lower the occurrence of bullying behavior among students. Additionally, the program had a significant positive effect on social awareness, with a significance value of 0.027 (p < 0,05) and a positive regression coefficient.
The findings imply that the ta’lim program contributes positively to students’ character development by internalizing moral, ethical, and religious values. It fosters empathy, tolerance, and responsibility, which are essential for creating a safe and inclusive school environment. The study concludes that ta’lim is not merely a religious activity but a strategic approach to holistic character education, which can be effective in reducing bullying and enhancing social awareness among students.
