This thesis discusses the application of the discovery learning method to improve students' understanding of Islamic jurisprudence in ninth-grade Islamic schools (Islamic jurisprudence) at Tsanawiyah Tassbeh Baitul Quran Islamic School.
This study aims to explore how the method is implemented and its effectiveness in improving students' understanding. This study involved 12 students, consisting of 8 boys and 4 girls. It was conducted in two cycles using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation as research instruments. The discovery learning method was implemented through classroom learning activities. Influential factors included teachers, students, facilities, and the learning environment. The research findings show a significant increase in the religious development of children. Based on the research results above, it shows that in cycle I, the results of teacher activity observations were 76.9%, or with a total value of 40 or satisfactory, the results of student activity observations were 80.25%, and the average value of student results was 79.5 or 60.6%, with four students who did not reach the KKM.
