Islamic boarding schools play an important role in shaping the chararcter and morality of students. This study aims to describe the process of internalizing Tabe’ cultural values in character formation at Tassveh Baitul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School. Tabe’ culture, as a form of respect in Bugis tradition, has a significant role in fostering polite attitudes and mutual respect among individuals in the pesantren environment. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the internalization of Tabe’ values is carried out through teachers’ exemplary behavior, habituation in social interactions, and the application of unwritten rules. These values contribute to forming students’ polite, humble, and respectful character. The challenges encountered include limited understanding among new students, lack of consistency in implementation, external environmental influences, and low awareness of the philosophical meaning of Tabe’.
